To clarify any misinformation regarding The Otherside Restaurant:
On May 25, 2024, Westport Marina entered into a lease agreement with Robert and Megean Linder of White Horse Holdings LLC, who are the managing members, along with co-owners Matt and Victoria Leverich. This lease permitted them to operate and rent The Otherside Restaurant from WestPort Marina. It is important to note that during this time, I Murphy Braden had no involvement in the management of The Otherside Restaurant. My only involvement was restricted to retaining ownership of the entire property and collecting rent for the property, buildings, and building contents at and adjacent to the Restaurant
In the month of June 2024, Robert and Megean Linder and Matt and Victoria Leverich publicly claimed multiple times that they were in the process of purchasing Westport Marina. These claims were widely disseminated on social media, leading many, including myself, to believe them. I requested a down payment for the purchase of Westport Marina to be made before June 30.
During this time, my visits to the restaurant was as a customer and I tipped the waitstaff without being aware of any underlying issues. Upon learning about discrepancies with the tips, I instructed the management to address and rectify the situation immediately.
Matt and Victoria Leverich resigned their position as managing partner due to this tip issue, stating they did not agree with this type of management practices.
June 30th
No payment was received. Subsequently, I requested financial information from the restaurant for June business with a deadline of July 1. Despite multiple follow-ups from June 2 to June 7, the responses from Megean Linder were consistently that the information was being worked on.
The information provided on June 8 was incomplete and lacking necessary details such as tip information and beer tax figures. I communicated to Robert and Megean Linder that the incomplete report was unacceptable, and operations would be suspended until an accurate and completed report was provided. This has not occurred and as a result, they have been removed from Westport Marina.
I want to assure everyone that from this point forward, I am the sole authority in all matters pertaining to The Otherside Restaurant. The Lease Agreement has been canceled
We apologize for any disruption this may have caused. The situation has been resolved by removing the above mentioned parties from the property and we are working diligently to move forward.
Waitress short on tips will be paid. Please bring your information and you will be paid in full.
