A new month is here, and I’d be remiss not to acknowledge that The Cornerstone turned eight years old last month, September 22nd to be exact!🙌🏽
To be honest, this has been a tough year! This journey has not been for the weak—blood, sweat, and tears don’t begin to describe it.
The meaning is in the name: a cornerstone is the foundation, the strength that holds everything together. “I” named this place! Through every challenge, my faith in God has sustained me, and Damenn has been watching over me every step of the way.🫶🏽
This place has required more of me than most people will ever know, but I’m still here, still standing! Damenn would always say, “Bae they talked about Jesus—who are you?! And whew, the level of thick skin this journey has required of me has shown me a strength I never knew I had in me! 🙏🏽💪🏾🙌🏽
Thank you to every employee past and present and to everyone who has walked through that red door and supported me along the way. Here’s to eight years of good food, great cocktails, and good company. ❤️🙏🏽🥂
