Happy Memorial Day. Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served, protected, and ultimately sacrificed their lives for our country. Their courage and selflessness are the foundation of the freedoms we enjoy each day, and for that we are forever grateful.
As families and friends gather around barbecue pits across the country this weekend, we are especially humbled to reflect on a milestone that means more to us than words can fully express. A few weeks ago, we had the incredible honor of being recognized by Daniel Vaughn and Texas Monthly.
For those unfamiliar, Daniel Vaughn is regarded as one of the most respected voices in barbecue — a storyteller and historian of the craft whose work has helped shape and preserve barbecue culture across the country. To have our restaurant recognized by someone of his caliber as one of the South’s “must-visit” barbecue destinations is both humbling and deeply meaningful to us.
What began 18 years ago as a dream — one we truly believe was God-given — has grown into something far greater than we ever imagined. To not only receive this recognition, but also to help shine a light on the small town of Clemson for something beyond its university and football tradition, is an honor we do not take lightly.
We are incredibly thankful for every customer, friend, family member, and supporter who has been part of this journey.
The best is yet to come.
