Just a quick update on Dan E Roberts:

I’m still alive, I’m still in ICU even though last Thursday night I was scheduled to have my aortic valve replaced and before they could put in the first incision to begin my heart repair, my heart began to slow down. The pressure increase in my aorta ventricle. Heart went into Afib… I had never experienced that to my knowledge.

I ended up flat lining 3 times, they used cpr and paddles to bring me back! I never saw that big white light. So it must not have been my time. Doctors requested that any family member that needed be called be call and advised to come quick. I had limited time left.

I finally woke up Thursday evening and
Quickly went back to sleep. I know I talk to several people Thursday evening, but for the life of me I can not tell you any names. I was told Ingo brought me an anteater, Beanie Baby version. Nurses all adore it. So forgive me for not being able to recall names tonight! But to all that have included me in your prayers, thoughts, phone call, visits, comments on FB or quietly wondered what happen to Dan… I send a big THANK you each and everyone!

I’m not out of woods yet…docs are trying to regulate my medication to get me back on my feet. Blood pressure drop enough this afternoon to alarm the ICU doctor to take me off one medicine and gave me another to increase my falling BP so I am back to IV’s

October 19, 2024 at the Dillon Depot on Anglin Street will host a book signing of the "ADMITTED ASSASSIN" by local author Gary Shaw. Gary will discuss and tell some of his insights into the murder of JFK our 34th President in Dallas, Texas.

It will begin at high noon on Saturday October 19th.

The City of Cleburne’s Communications Division was recently recognized on the national level by the City-County Communications and Marketing Association.

The City of Cleburne’s Communications Division was recently recognized on the national level by the City-County Communications and Marketing Association ( 3CMA). (https://3cma.org/) At the organization’s annual conference, the redesigned cleburne.net website earned the Award of Excellence (third place) in the Savvy Awards competition. (https://www.cleburne.net/) Overall, there were more than 1,100 entries across 38 categories. Cleburne was the only Texas city named as a finalist in the website category. “It’s an honor to have Cleburne recognized on a national level for the work done with cleburne.net,” said Hope Boyd, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. “This award reflects the support and collaboration across various City departments. Their input and feedback were invaluable in creating a site that is user-friendly, accessible and represents our community well.” The City-County Communications and Marketing Association is a network of local government communicator that helps governments engage and build stronger relationships with their residents.
