As I sit here today in the farmhouse re-living such a beautiful day yesterday, I cant help but to smile as I look back on Malachi and Brooke roping with their young son in the team roping....my teens, McKenzie and Madisyn getting in the dirt helping young Eli Mike and Eli Gill tie goats....Montene and Brittany barrel racing with their very tickled lesson students...Robert heaving kids quickly on their horses in the tunnel race, hoping EACH ONE wins...Patrick helping his daughter get that loop 'just right' in the dummy roping...proud daddies, Lafe, Kasey, Bart and Timothy leadlining their little ones in the leadline events... Marcus pulling the sled, encouraging the beginner ropers in the novice roping event...Mr. Lou and Laura making sure poles were straight and fair for every single rider in pole bending...moms and dads snapping pics and videos as they beamed with pride. A crowd of spectators cheering and clapping, encouraging EVERY child so that you cant really tell which one is THEIRS. Of course there are more doing these things...these are just examples. There was SO, SO, SO much more!! I am so very thankful for this RODEO FAMILY and the respect, encouragement and class that I see. These parents forget about everything else going on in their lives on THE 2ND SATURDAY of each month...and make it all about these perfect, precious, treasured children.
