Aloha Friends! l’ve started writing this post more times than I can count. Yes, you read that right. The time has come to finally close this chapter in our lives. It’s been the best 5 years.

Not many know the owners to Arapaap, so let me re-introduce the siblings behind it. Faith, Debbie & Chef David. The question we get often is what Arapaap means. “Arapaap” is an Ilocano word for DREAM. It was Chef’s ultimate dream to someday open his own restaurant. When the opportunity came in 2021, we jumped on it. We faced a few challenges due to COVID but we held on. Arapaap has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives. It has allowed us to serve this community, build meaningful relationships, and watch something that started as a dream become a reality. With the help of our parents and my husband, Arapaap grew into something we never could have imagined.

As life evolves and our family focuses on new seasons ahead, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to close this chapter . Chef started his little family and we are blessed with a wonderful little baby. Milo Amihan gives us so much joy. Faith, who had the ability to work remote and helped me out, is no longer able to do so. With my siblings working in a different state, I am left to do it on my own. As many know, I have 3 kids who keeps us on our toes. With that said, I struggle to keep a work/life balance. My Family will always come first. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband who has always been so supportive and so hands on, but the time has come to take a step back. For five beautiful years, I have been on gas and no brakes, which brings me to my biggest fear. My body is saying slow down. If you’ve owned a small business, I’m sure you can relate.

To our incredible staff (old and new) - you have been the heart of this shop. Your support, loyalty, and friendship have meant more to us than I can put into words. Y’all are more than my employees, you are my family, and I could not do any of this without your support.

We don’t have an exact date set, but as we navigate thru this closing, we pray that you continue to support us to the very end!

Join in on the festivities Downtown. We will have the grill going all day. Specials will include Kalbi Plate, Firecracker Chicken, Chicken Katsu Plate, and Chicken Inihaw 🤙🏽 We will be open 11am-7pm on Friday and Saturday 8am-3pm!
