Lish here!
Thank you. ❤️
Thank you for every birthday wish, every anniversary message, every hug, every text, every call, every gift, every flower. I felt so incredibly loved this past week, and I don’t take a single bit of it for granted.
Another trip around the sun, another year of marriage, and another reminder of just how much life can fit into a year.
If you know me personally or have followed along our journey, you probably know that my life has never exactly followed the easy route. There have been some incredible highs, some really hard chapters, and more operating rooms than I ever imagined were possible.
This week, I’m heading into another. It’s revision time.
I debated whether I even wanted to share this. But the truth is, you all know me one way. In the months ahead, you’re going to see me in my wheelchair, and I don’t want that to be something you see and quietly wonder if something is terribly wrong. It doesn’t mean I’m not ok. It doesn’t mean I’ve stopped moving forward. ❤️
Most of you are more than customers, followers, or familiar faces. You’ve become friends. You’ve supported our businesses, watched our family grow, celebrated our wins, checked on us through the hard stuff, and become part of this beautifully altered life of mine.
So if I’m a little quieter, moving a little differently, or not bouncing around as much for a bit, I’m simply taking time to recover, getting stronger, and doing what I’ve learned to do over and over again.
To keep going.
So, this birthday definitely felt a little different knowing surgery was waiting on the other side of it. Maybe that’s why I noticed everything a little more. The laughter, the people around me, the messages, the love, and especially the man sitting beside me who has walked through every single chapter of this crazy life with me.
Thank you for celebrating with me. Thank you for celebrating our twenty first wedding anniversary. Thank you for supporting the places we’ve poured so much of ourselves into. And most of all, thank you for being part of our journey.
I’m taking all of that love with me this week. ❤️
Still here. Still grateful. Still standing…in my own slightly altered way. Always.
Hug our boy if you see him, and high-five our amazing team. Our altered family. Let them know just how awesome they are! See you in a few weeks better than ever!
Lish ❤️
