Here is our favorite fall day for two. In the morning, browse the shops inside Volant Mills, where the original milling stones and gears are still in place. At midday, stop for photos at Bank's Covered Bridge. In the afternoon, drive the Amish backroads outside New Wilmington and pick up c***r and homemade donuts at Apple Castle on Route 18.

In the evening, have dinner at Stonewall's Tavern at Tara, followed by a long soak in your jetted tub.
