π¦ THE END OF AN ERA π¦
Iβve typed this, deleted it, rewritten it, and honestlyβ¦ I still donβt know exactly how to put this into words.
After ALOT of thought, reflecting, conversations, and looking at where life is taking us, weβve made the incredibly bittersweet decision to close Shark Bite Meal Prep. The delivery date of 9/21 for the pre-orders that closed this week will be our final delivery.
Shark Bite has been so much more than a business to us. It was an idea that started as a fun new venture to take off from and somehow grew into something we never could have imagined. It gave us opportunities, taught us lessons, connected us with SO many amazing people, and became a part of our everyday lives for over 3 years.
And while this decision is so hard, it also feels so right.
We have been blessed with success in our other businesses that also provide us more time as a family. In the same stride, allow that time with our kids who are growing up way too fast and are entering those really fun, special, busy, and important years. The years of spontaneous trips, homeschool events, fun activities, weekends together, and just being PRESENT while they grow.
For a long time, weβve tried to do it all. And if you know us, you know weβre the kind of people who will find a way to make it work, even if it means running on fumes. π But I think weβre finally realizing that sometimes making it work isnβt the same thing as choosing what matters most.
And right now, we want more time.
More time with our kids.
More time for our family.
More time to pour into the businesses that provide us with what we need while allowing us more time as a family.
More time to enjoy the life weβve worked incredibly hard to build.
Closing something you poured your heart and soul into with your own hands is HARD, especially something that has been such a big part of our lives. Shark Bite was successful because of so many little lessons and steps over the years. Because we took a crazy step and made it a reality. Because we served our meals to amazing and committed individuals, day in and day out. Because we built something truly unmatched and special. And because of the incredible people who supported us along the way.
To everyone who ordered, subscribed, grabbed a meal, shared a post, stayed loyal, recommended us, or simply cheered us on, we thank and appreciate you. You helped make Shark Bite what it became, and we will always carry that with us. To our amazing host locations who allowed us the opportunity to stock meals and orders, and step into your amazing spaces; we couldnβt thank you enough if we tried. Your kindness went above and beyond for us to share space and grow our own businesses together, and for that we are forever grateful.
