Slowpokes! After 5 years as a farm-to-table restaurant, we decided to close, as of July 8, 2023. THANKS

Slowpoke Farm is owned and operated by Joy and Kerry Hedges. We sell our products at farmers markets in the Big Country. We sell at the Abilene Farmers Market on Saturdays, the Wylie Farmers Market on Wednesdays (during the summer). Our ground meats and eggs are available at Vitamins Plus in Abilene 7 days a week. Summer 2026 at Slowpoke Farm. Kerry is really into gourds. They are the coolest plants, with huge leaves and they love to vine and trellis. He used our old duck pen in the first picture. Out in the ‘big’ garden he built a new structure. Some of the gourds are so big he has had to support them from underneath.

Also growing okra, squash (summer and winter), sweet potatoes and watermelon. What are you growing?

Anyone missing Slowpoke pie?
One week from today you can get ‘Slowpoke Pie in a Cup!’

The Cisco TX Pie Fest committee will be participating at the July 3rd 250th Celebration in Cisco - by selling Pie in a Cup, and we are using original Slowpoke recipes.

We’ll be serving Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Apple, from 5:30pm to 8:30, or until we sell out.
