Before the late-night chili runs, the familiar faces across the counter, and the generations of Cincinnati families who made us part of their routines, there was opening day in 1940.

This photo takes us back to the original Camp Washington Chili Parlor and the people who welcomed our first customers. So much has changed since then, but the heart of this place has always been the same: good food, a seat at the counter, and a community that keeps coming back.

There is something special about this time of year at Camp Washington Chili. The evenings start to slow down, the light hits the neighborhood just right, and our sign is still glowing for everyone making their way in for a plate, a coney, or a late-night stop.

Summer may be winding down, but there is always a seat waiting for you at Camp.

A big thank you to our friend for capturing Camp Washington Chili from a whole new view. We love getting to see our little slice of the city from above, especially a place that has welcomed generations of Cincinnati families, late-night regulars, chili lovers, road trippers, and neighborhood friends through our doors.
