Same Same but different. Pho Lang Thang began like many restaurants do, people missing food from their youth, brothers Bao and Duy Nguyen, along with friend David Le, wanted to bring pho, banh mi, bun and other classic Vietnamese staples to the Cincinnati area, just as the city’s culinary renaissance was beginning to take off. They set up shop in a cozy corner space in the heart of Over-the-Rhine’s historic Findlay Market. Here they found a quick audience, routinely overflowing the tiny space, gaining new fans weekly, and even appearing on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. Eventually PLT outgrew the space and relocated around the corner to Race Street.

Thank you to everyone who spent part of BLINK and the Asianati Night Market with us. Our crew gave it everything, both at the restaurant and at the booth, and we couldn’t have done it without them.

We added a bakery and kept the restaurant’s opening hours. A little oversight.

The Bakery at Phở Lang Thang now opens at 7 a.m., Thursday through Sunday. Bakery hours are 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

We’re taking PLT coffee and pastries to Deluxe Nails this Friday, October 16, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

Find us right out front at 7835 Camargo Rd with Vietnamese coffee and sweet and savory pastries. Come before your appointment, bring a friend, or just stop for coffee.

We’re looking forward to introducing our guests to our friend's business and meeting some of theirs. No appointment needed.

Have you ever tried the Phở Gà?

We use shredded chicken breast for our Phở gà, so not only that it’s filling and delicious, but it’s also filled with protein and very healthy.

Inspired by the Do Chua (pickled radish and carrots) in many of our dishes (Bun, Banh Mi, Com tam, etc), our bartender, Kate, came up with a very special drink: Do Chua Mule.

It’s brighter and more refreshing compared to a traditional Mule. Using cucumber washed Vodka, Do Chua brine, and ginger b**r, she created a refreshing Vietnamese Mule.

If you have the opportunity, remember to try this drink and if you like it, tell Kate what you think!

Why did we put the pineapple + anchovies on the same pizza? Inspired by the Vietnamese dish and sauce, bò lá lốt and mắm nêm, we made a tavern style pizza with a garlic cream sauce, 5 cheese blend, lemongrass beef sausage, shiso, fried shallots, and that funky pineapple sauce on our Yô Đi × Wayfarer Tavern pizza. The final collab in the series ends Sunday, Oct. 11.

Pandan has a light vanilla taste, commonly used in most Southeast Asian countries. Adding it to Vietnamese coffee makes it lightly sweeter, creamier, and better!!!!!

Cassava cake also has a light sweet taste, with shredded coconut inside. It will surely fill you up and prepare you for the day ahead.
