Happy 513 Day, Cincy ❤️

There’s something special about this time of year in our city — the longer days, warm temps, patios filling back up, and that feeling that everyone is coming back outside together again.

From Pleasant Ridge to Blue Ash, we’re endlessly grateful to call Cincinnati home and to be part of the communities that continue to show up for us, support us, and fuel what we do every day.

Our Alma Around the World spring drink menu is officially here, featuring:

🍫 Dubai Chocolate – mocha, pistachio & tahini
🍁 True North Maple – maple & cinnamon
🍋 ALMAlfi Coast – honey & citrus
🌸 Cherry Blossom – vanilla & cherry
🧡Golden Bazaar – think if a chai + golden milk latte had a baby

We’ve also got a Dubai Chocolate smoothie in the mix—topped with baklava bits (a delicious way to use our scraps and make it a true treat).

All made with (sourced from Louisville—and yes, we’re the only spot in Cincinnati serving it ☕️).

Try them all with our seasonal latte flight or sip your way through one at a time.

As we get ready to celebrate 4️⃣ years of Café Alma this weekend celebrate 🎉 we’ve been thinking a lot about those early days.

Does anyone remember Lainey carrying Mira around the café in the baby carrier? Or a sweet little baby in a high chair while everything was just getting started?

Mira was born just before the café opened and has been growing up right alongside Alma ever since!

Some of her first favorite foods were the same ingredients we love to cook with every day — lentils, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and of course tahini. Very reminiscint of the Israeli/Mediterranean diet from the start.

So when we created this bowl, we knew exactly what it should be called: Mira’s Power Bowl.

It’s been a staple at the café since the beginning — always in the grab & go fridge at and often making an appearance on our catering menus.

Now Mira is a big sister to two more little regulars, and somehow the café (and the family) have both grown right alongside each other 💚

This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the woman who somehow manages to nourish a café, a team, a community, and three beautiful kids — Lainey Richler.

There’s a long tradition in Jewish culture that feeding people is one of the deepest forms of care — welcoming them in, nourishing them, and making them feel at home. Lainey brings that spirit to life every day at Café Alma.

Whether she’s serving shakshuka, pouring coffee, braiding challah, supporting her team, or making sure her three amazing kids are never far away, she somehow makes everyone who walks through our doors feel like family.

We don’t know how she does it all — but we’re endlessly grateful she does 💚

Starting March 1, we’re bringing back our Matcha Flight with brand-new flavors and full size specials. Fresh, vibrant, and made for longer, sunnier days ahead.

And just when the matcha excitement settles in… we turn FOUR. 🎉

March 13–15 we’re celebrating four beautiful years of Café Alma. Four years of brunch dates, birthday celebrations, baby showers, coffee catch-ups, and watching this community grow right alongside us.

At Café Alma, our values are rooted in the people who make this place what it is—especially our team, many of whom are immigrants, including our fearless leader, Yair.

We stand with our immigrant neighbors and want to be clear: immigrants are essential to our business, our community, and our city. From our kitchen to our counter, their talent, care, and hard work are the reason Café Alma exists.

This moment is not abstract for us. Like so many small businesses, we have felt—very personally—the repercussions of the current climate and the fear and uncertainty it creates for immigrant communities.

Tonight, we shared an appreciation dinner with our kitchen staff to say thank you—for the food they cook, the heart they bring, and the strength they show every day, especially during times that feel heavy and uncertain.

We will be open tomorrow (1/30). This decision comes from care for our team—many of whom rely on consistent work—and from our commitment to showing up for our community. We encourage supporting local businesses when you can and paying in cash if possible.

A portion of tomorrow’s sales will be donated to Cincinnati-based organizations that support immigrants here at home.
