Long post alert! And we're not depressed and we're not begging for help, but here's a glimpse into the lives of a small business family...

1 of us up and out the door by 5:30 to bake and prep the store and getting back to the hotel after 4.5 hours of work to see folks still eating breakfast.

1 of us up and out the door by 6:00 to drive to Columbus for a lacrosse tournament.

A house that's 95% ready for us but 100% still overwhelming to walk into.

All of the Strudthoff pets in one place at one time.

Fun fact: we're exhausted. To quote a student from last year "I'm doing my best, Bud!" 🤣 It's equally rewarding and defeating to try as hard as we can daily and still feel like we're coming up short.

Yesterday the landlord incorrectly thought our lease ended at the end of this month...and let me tell you, Jess and I got so excited for a fleeting moment dreaming of the freedom and lack of frustration that might be in a Cincy Sammy-less future.

We love it. But as I've said to Jess several times, "I'm tried of not doing enough to make this place what it could/should be"

S'mores cinnamon rolls and classic on the counter again today! Plus there are 3 cookies and cream leftover from yesterday (I got beef with all y'all over not selling out of those!!)

For those who plan ahead, Brownie Friday begins at 5:00 with regular and GF Buckeye brownies and regular candy bar brownies.

And enough cookies and ice cream to keep everyone happy in between!!
