Before the sandwich… there’s the story. 🥖

With all the talk about Chicago Style Italian Beef lately, it has been amazing seeing how many people have memories tied to one simple sandwich.

For us, Italian Beef isn’t new.

Annagio’s has proudly been serving our Chicago Style Italian Beef right here in Cibolo for over two years.

It starts long before the first sandwich is made.

A Chicago Style Italian Beef doesn’t start when the sandwich is built… it starts hours before.

Every roast at Annagio’s is seasoned right here, slow roasted, sliced thin, and finished the way we remember it — dipped in that seasoned gravy with sweet peppers or our house-made hot giardiniera. 🌶️

It’s a simple sandwich, but the little details matter.

Funny how one bite can take you back to a place and time. ❤️

Dad deserves something special… and we decided to go big.

For Father’s Day we were able to get our hands on a limited quantity of beautiful premium 12 oz lip-on ribeyes, and we’re giving them the Annagio’s treatment.

Introducing:

🥩 Ribeye alla Bianca

A premium ribeye, perfectly seared and finished with our roasted garlic, white wine & mushroom cream sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and Grana Padano.

Served with our scratch-made Fettuccine Alfredo and warm breadsticks.

Thank you Voyage San Antonio for featuring Annagio’s and the journey behind what we are building.

When Doreen and I started Annagio’s, we started small — but our goal was never “food truck food.” From day one, our focus has been scratch-made Italian food, quality ingredients, and treating every plate like it matters.

After a lifetime building homes, I found myself building something completely different — but the principles stayed the same: take pride in your work, pay attention to details, and create something that lasts.

🔥 Italian Beef has been getting a lot of attention lately… and we love seeing it. 🔥

For some people, it’s just a sandwich.

For us, it’s a little piece of home.

Growing up in Illinois, Italian Beef was part of the culture — thin sliced beef, the right bread, the jus, sweet peppers, and that perfect bite from hot giardiniera.

At Annagio’s, we’ve spent years creating our version and have proudly been serving it here in Cibolo for over two years.

Another batch of our Chicago-Style Lasagna just came fresh out of the oven at Annagio’s.

Layers of pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, provolone, Pecorino Romano, and our slow-simmered meat sauce with beef, Italian sausage, fennel, and San Marzano tomatoes. Rich, hot, bubbling, and exactly the way the old Italian neighborhood restaurants in Chicago make it.

Hello Everyone,

As I’ve mentioned before, the increased traffic at Annagio’s has meant a little less time to share the day-to-day adventure here on Facebook. I truly miss sharing both the good moments and the difficult ones that came with opening Annagio’s and learning as we went along. From the beginning, we never hesitated to celebrate the successes or be honest about the bumps in the road.

Now, nearly two and a half years later, Annagio’s continues to grow, evolve, and learn every single day. Our motto from the very beginning still holds true today: one customer at a time.

Over these past couple of years, we’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people and building an incredible group of regular customers who mean the world to us. Annagio’s would not be where it is today without every person who has supported us, shared our posts, ordered dinner, recommended us to friends, or simply gave us a chance.

While we’ve grown substantially, we still have our sights set on the next chapter — a place of our own. We continue to work diligently toward making that dream a reality.

One of the biggest accomplishments along the way has been building our own online ordering system. Ordering directly from Annagio’s instead of third-party delivery apps helps our customers save money while also allowing us to keep more of what we earn. That support truly makes a difference for a small business like ours.

And of course, our Wednesday Pasta Special has become something special all on its own. Every Wednesday we get absolutely slammed by folks coming in for fresh pasta and special pricing. Wednesdays are exhausting, chaotic, and honestly one of our favorite days of the week because of the amazing people who show up to support us.

We just wanted to take a moment to share a little update on what’s been happening at Annagio’s and, more importantly, to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported us in chasing this dream.

If you’ve never tried Annagio’s, we would truly love the opportunity to serve you. We promise you’ll enjoy the food.
