International Dog Day!! A day to celebrate all things Doggy, to recognise all the unwanted dogs in rescue shelters, those lucky enough to have a lovely family and the work that so many do selflessly to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort.
I am lucky enough to have always had dogs in my life and although I often complain about what time they have had me up in the morning wanting an early breakfast or eating things they should n’t on walks (I could go on, the list is endless!!), they are my family. They make me laugh (and cry!), comfort me, get me out for fresh air/exercise and I think that they show me how to be a better person. They are kind, faithful, loving and compassionate. I never fail to be amazed at how badly treat or neglected dogs have the ability to forgive us humans and never hold a grudge - that is probably why I love them so much xx
