******City of Chico Sewer Rate Increase*****
For ALL the people who have followed our fight with the city against unsustainable increases to sewer rates over the past 2+ years and asked how they can help….PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the below and follow the instructions to vote against the 2026 efforts for the council to approve ANOTHER INCREASE. We missed out on doing this in 2023, which is what started all this chaos and insane rates! Please write a no vote/ protest for all addresses in Chico you can and remember we have to have more no votes than people that DONT RESPOND BECAUSE THOSE ARE COUNTED AS YES VOTES TO INCREASE!! This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Then I plan to hold a public pole on social media, which will count how many people sent this in so we can possibly bring some transparency to this entire process of the cities.

I am seriously considering running for city council in the next election, because I can not go anywhere in Chico that the public is not acutely affected and aware of this sewer issue and many many more within Chico and I can’t just sit back and do nothing. We need a voice. The fact that the homeless now have more rights than the citizens and the budget is clearly out of control, along with the continuous hiring of consultants to do city dept heads jobs while inflating their pay……current leadership is allowed to destroy this city one vote at a time. I keep thinking that someone is going to come to their senses and talk reason at these meetings and it is not happening. We are focused on bike paths and continuing to put downtown Chico as the complete priority! I don’t know how I would be convinced to add yet another duty to my schedule, but I also don’t know how to sit back and not. So if you would vote for me then please like, share and follow the instructions to protest/ vote no to the cities sewer fee increase! I will let the numbers talk and if they point to you having the same concerns for our city and wanting myself to run for Chicos City Council and be our voice I WILL!

******SEWER UPDATE********
If you have been keeping up on our City Sewer updates, here’s the latest. I, and many other business owners in Chico received this letter yesterday. I will attach our response letter to that letter. Please don’t read one or part of them and respond with negative rhetoric. This is a very serious matter that is affecting all business owners and if you read my response fully, it explains our complete stance on the issue. This post is only for people like the hundreds that ask Jeff and I about this situation daily. We want to keep everybody as educated as possible. This is only our situation yours or somebody you know may differ. Look close at the department and person within that department sending this notification…….nobody is willing to sign it or take accountability by fielding all the questions and concerns ALL business owners have!! Including all council members and the Mayor!
