In this tasting event, we began with a classic Zhangping Shuixian, then moved on to a tea cake crafted by its successor, Zhang Xingyu, and finished with my friend’s wild tree experiment. It truly felt like a journey through the mountains—meeting the makers, sharing in their stories, and celebrating together.

Yesterday morning WGN 9’s Around Town featured a live TV interview about the teahouse, and I was completely unprepared. It turned out to be an unscripted, live broadcast – the pace was absolutely exhilarating. Fortunately, we were able to drink tea during the interview, or I might have completely burned out. Here’s to drinking more tea in 2025!
