There are bars… and then there are places that become part of people’s lives.
After 22 unforgettable years, Holiday Club will close its doors for the very last time on Sunday, May 17.
And the truth is… this place was never just a bar.
It was where friendships were formed with complete strangers.
Where coworkers became family.
Where first dates turned into marriages.
Where birthdays were celebrated, breakups were survived, league nights got loud, DJs kept the dance floor alive, and “just stopping in for one drink” somehow turned into stories people still talk about years later.
For 22 years, Holiday Club became a part of Chicago’s heartbeat.
There are people reading this right now who met some of their favorite humans inside these walls.
People who laughed until closing time here.
People who grew up here.
People who found comfort here when life was heavy.
People who found joy here when life was good.
And every single memory… every packed Friday & Saturday night, every shot shared across the bar, every conversation, every friendship, every regular who walked through these doors…
YOU are what made Holiday Club special.
Not the building.
Not the sign outside.
Not the drinks.
You!
That’s why this goodbye is so hard.
In a city constantly changing, where another high-rise replaces another piece of history, Holiday Club stayed exactly what it was always meant to be: real, welcoming, unpretentious, unforgettable.
So one last Sunday..
We want the stories.
The hugs.
The laughter.
The familiar faces.
The “remember when…” conversations.
The people who made this place feel like home.
