Happy Anniversary to my “Dish”, Trisha. 36 yrs married, and 40 yrs together. It’s been a great ride lol. Meeting you, 40 yrs ago was a miracle of the joining of two different worlds. Spending a couple days here to check up on things. In our first night, we checked out the sunset at a local restaurant/bar and met Rob and Laura. They are both Midwesterners. Rob, originally from the Chicago area but then settled in the UP Michigan. He happens to be a chef lol. So they were so generous in inviting us to their home where Rob made this homemade pizza that we the best that anyone has ever made for us. It was delicious. Folks, when a chef makes you food, it’s a big deal. We put our hearts into feeding people that we care about. It was a blessing. Thanks for the awesome food and company. Later today, we’re off to South Beach to celebrate our anniversary and a friends birthday. Cheers!

Sourdough ciabatta rolls! Had to bake these in my regular oven rather than my Anona Combi which conked out after almost 8 years. Tough to generate the proper steam but it was worth the effort. Think this recipe is a keeper but need to check after an hour. Looking forward to ciabatta sandwiches with roast chicken, tomatoes, avocado and arugula. Cheers from Fulton Market Chicago.

Growing up in Chicago, my two main sports were baseball and hockey. I was obsessed with hockey and of course our Chicago Blackhawks. I shed a tear, as I got to experience the Hockey Hall of Fame, in Toronto, Canada. The Chicago Blackhawks were well represented as an original six franchise. My favorite player was Stan Mikita. I would always pretend to be Mikita, playing street hockey lol. My second favorite team were the Boston Bruins and player Bobby Orr. Orr had short career because of injuries. He signed with Blackhawks towards the end of his career but barely played. What a blessing! Cheers from Toronto, Canada.
