Goodbye Facebook.

This will be S&T Provisions’ last post on this platform. The decision to terminate our relationship with Facebook was well thought out and a difficult one, but also one that has to be made. For many reasons, Facebook is no longer able to support our business, therefore we will no longer continue to support theirs. We are extremely disappointed in both their customer service as well as their so-called “community standards policies.”

Over the last two years, our mom and pop Italian deli page has grown to a family of nearly 40,000. Together we have had a lot of fun searching for Golden Tickets, giving away thousands of pizzas and dollars, and feeding as many meals to those who could use one. For that, I am humbled and grateful. These efforts will never stop, but will certainly be communicated in a different manner—both in store and on Instagram (sandtprovisions).

We hope to continue serving every single one of you for another 60 years whether that be daily, weekly, monthly or whenever you make it back in town to visit your favorite pizza and meatball mix spot!

I look forward to chatting in the comments, but I’m not going to write a book on “what happened.” Bottom line, Facebook does not have the basic level of support and practices that we expect from a business relationship.

HONEST QUESTION. Seeking your opinion.

How much weight does the saying “The customer is always right” carry? On the one hand, in almost all cases, the cost of “making it better” is surely cheaper than the cost of bad publicity; however, on the other hand, is there a time when you “stand your ground?” Perhaps when you know you’re being taken advantage of? When someone has a terrible attitude? When you know for sure you’re right?

Golden Ticket Update

A fantastic, local family found the ticket after a well executed hunt!

It was located/wedged under a large boulder (clue 3), across the street from the very generous McCarthy Ford (donated a car for our last Small Business Lottery—clue 1), near a path behind the AG School.
