This is the location of the Vegan Restaurant (The Reading Room Café ), that My daughter and I are embarking on opening soon. We’ve been working on it now since January of last year. We were hoping by now we would be months into the renovations and almost ready for a grand opening but life in the form of COVID-19 happened and well, things were put on hold. Now we are beginning to hear news that renovations may start back up soon, actually it’s an entire new interior reconstruction, I’ll post a pick in the comments of the rough empty gutted building we are working on. Anyway, stay tuned for more updates as we go along. I want you all there when we open. But, I also want you guys to go on this journey with us. If you were ever curious as to how to get a business started. We are amateurs at this, but we are smart, taking our time and doing our research and maybe someone may be able to get something out of seeing how the City of Chicago works with small business owners.
