Two years ago, we recorded this episode of my podcast. I barely knew Tee back then, and my only goal was to get to know her. 🥹

I didn’t ask a single question about comedy or her social media success, because that’s something everyone can already see. I wanted to know who she was beyond all of that. I wanted to know her as a person.

And during this episode, I absolutely fell in love with the human being sitting across from me. ♥️

Bookie, I’m so glad you trusted me enough to share your story. A story that went on to help so many people. Little did I know that this conversation would also be the beginning of one of the most beautiful friendships of my life.

Because all I wanted to do by the end of that episode was squeeze you, hold you tight, and never let you go.

And two years later, I still feel exactly the same way. And I never will let you go. 🥰

As someone who immigrated to this country, I will never take for granted the opportunity to participate in shaping its future.

I know many people feel like election results won’t affect them, but being able to feel that way is a privilege. We vote because the decisions made by our elected officials affect our communities, our rights, and the generations that come after us.
