My name is Derek Thomas and I am the owner of Whadda-Ya-Want? Eclectic Kitchen. Today, I want to pause talking about food and business for something far more important.
Cancer has touched so many families, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. One message that can truly save lives is this: early detection matters.
Too often, people put off screenings, ignore symptoms, or tell themselves they'll make an appointment later. But early detection can mean more treatment options, better outcomes, and more time with the people we love.
If you've been putting off a mammogram, colonoscopy, skin check, prostate exam, or any recommended screening, please make the call. Encourage your loved ones to do the same.
Sometimes you can even be told that there is nothing to worry about for an anamoly you've discovered. Insist on additional testing. It could save your life.
