We’re still getting April showers- haven’t figured out that it’s the end of May… but it sure was a cool evening after the shower yesterday.

Today/ Wednesday we have BBQ pork ribs with choice of potato salad, baked beans or deviled eggs with a corn muffin.

We are getting ready to put apple cobbler in the oven.

Stop by if you’re out and about.

Oh yeah- California burger is the grill special: our hand pressed 1/3 lb lean ground beef with avocado and jalapenos along with your favorite condiment.

Is it storming yet? Looked like it was headed our way this morning- but then again it did yesterday…

We are here, just pulled a fresh batch of brownies out of the oven.

Today is breakfast til noon but wanted to let you know we will have BBQ pork ribs with fixins on Memorial Day Monday.

The power is on- no blinking today.

The pasta today is a spring pasta with olives and artichoke hearts. We baked some fresh bread. You can add grilled zucchini or a garden salad if you like.

We also have bread pudding getting ready to come out of the oven. Now for some caramel sauce and the yummy comfort dessert is ready.

Thankful for a shower this morning- hope it is also at my house, settling the dust a bit.

Menu plan:
Monday- pork chop plate special with grilled zucchini and mashed potatoes.
Tuesday- beans n taters with cornbread.
Wednesday- pasta salad with fresh bread.
Thursday- fried chicken plate special.
Friday- fried catfish plate special.
Saturday- Monte Cristo grilled ham and cheese sandwich.

Dessert: planning to bake some brownies and bread pudding this week. Will keep you posted.

We’ve got a new idea for our Saturday ‘brunch ‘ special.

How about a Monte Cristo grilled ham and cheese? Toast, breakfast ham, provolone cheese, well seasoned scrambled egg with lettuce, tomato and condiment of your choice (we didn’t go with any and Ashley says it’s very tasty).

We’ll have it 9-12 tomorrow as our Saturday breakfast special. Come and see us if you’re out and about.

Happy Mother’s Day! We’ll have a lunch special today to honor all the Moms out there.

Monday- garlic and honey glazed pork medallion with rice, honey glazed carrots, steamed broccoli and a honey butter biscuit.
Tuesday- back to basics with pinto beans n taters.
Wednesday- how about some spaghetti with meatballs and some homemade bread?
Thursday- fried chicken plate special.
Friday- fried catfish plate special.
Saturday- French toast with fresh berries.

Stop and see us if you’re out and about.

Tuesday- it’s Cinco de Mayo on taco Tuesday- you gotta have some tacos with chips and garden salsa 🌮🌮🌮
Wednesday- navy bean with ham soup with cornbread.
Thursday- fried chicken plate special
Friday- fried catfish plate special
Saturday- still getting fresh strawberries to go with French toast.

Dessert: Chocolate Delight and I’m thinking of making bread pudding later this week.
