A little piece of Chester history, preserved. These medicine bottles were discovered between the beams of one of Chester’s historic buildings, including a bottle of Dr. T. B. Smith’s Lung Tonic, an old remedy once marketed for coughs, colds, asthma, croup, measles and other respiratory illnesses.
Hidden away for generations, they offer a fascinating glimpse into the remedies people once relied on.
You never know what pieces of the past are hiding inside Chester’s historic buildings.
