It is with great sadness that I have to announce that we will not be operating the concession stand at the lake anymore. Last season was an amazing experience, but we are unable to financially make it work. We appreciate all of you who visited us last season and we will miss you. Some of you have found us at our new venture down in Rockwood and we really appreciate the continued business!!

If anyone wants to take over the concession contract, the state would probably appreciate it. If you have any questions, just let us know, or come visit us at The Chinchbug.

If you're missing the yummy food we were serving down by the lake, come see us at The Chinchbug, where he has elevated the menu. We are located on Highway 3 just south of the levee in Rockwood. Look for the blue building on the side of the road. We are serving some of your favorites and some new things. Mike is serving wings from 4-8 pm, with your choice of Buffalo sauce or his famous Shack Sauce. If all goes well with the State of Illinois, we will be open as a bar as well as a grill, in January. Hope to see you out for a meal before then!

It's the end of the season, so this is our last weekend until April. Come on out and see how beautiful the lake is before the weather changes.

Due to a (minor) health issue, we unfortunately will have to close early today. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we have to do what's best for our well-being. It's been a lovely weekend, and we thank everyone who came out for our last Jam and to have a meal. We hope to have a big full weekend for our last weekend and to see as many of your smiling faces as possible. Thank you and have a wonderful rest of your Sunday.

Caramel apple cheesecake, brownie bars and banana orange bars. The weather is beautiful. Go get a bite to eat at the restaurant and come up to join us for some music and dessert. We started earlier today, so don’t miss it!

It's a cold and rainy day.......not the best weather to enjoy the park. We understand. With that said, we are closing early today. We will be closing at 3:30 pm, instead of 7:00 pm. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Take care everyone and hope to see you at our last Acoustic Jam on Saturday, the 21st. I will be baking my butt off all week, so there should be plenty of tasty treats!
