🏨 Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cherokee is looking for an experienced, dependable Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel safe, comfortable, clean, and running smoothly.

💰 PAY

Based on experience and skill level

🕐 SCHEDULE

Typical hours: 9:00am-3:00pm
Some flexibility may be required for emergency maintenance issues.
Weekends and holidays are a must.

🔧 WHAT YOU’LL DO

✔️ Perform repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
✔️ Troubleshoot plumbing issues, toilets, faucets, drains, etc.
✔️ Handle basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting
✔️ Troubleshoot HVAC and air-conditioning issues
✔️ Repair doors, locks, furniture, walls, ceilings, flooring, and fixtures
✔️ Complete guest-room maintenance and repairs
✔️ Perform routine inspections of guest rooms and common areas
✔️ Assist with pool and equipment maintenance
✔️ Identify problems before they become expensive repairs
✔️ Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment organized
✔️ Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests
✔️ Help maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained hotel

⭐ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Our ideal candidate will have:

🔹 Previous hotel or commercial maintenance experience
🔹 Strong general maintenance and repair skills
🔹 Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry knowledge
🔹 Ability to troubleshoot problems independently
🔹 Ability to prioritize and complete work without constant supervision
🔹 Good communication and customer-service skills
🔹 Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
🔹 Ability to work safely with ladders, tools, and equipment
🔹 Must be able to pass a background check

Hotel maintenance experience is strongly preferred.

Housekeeper
Responsibilities include:
• Cleaning guest rooms / halls and common spaces
• Making beds
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping
• Restocking supplies
• Maintaining cleanliness standards

Houseman / Light Maintenance
Responsibilities include:
• Light repairs and maintenance
• Stripping dirty linens from guest rooms and laying clean sheets onto beds
• Trash removal from guest rooms and common areas.
• Minor plumbing, painting, repairs and general upkeep
• Outdoor upkeep as needed

Pay: Based on experience
Weekends and holidays are a must.

Requirements:
• Reliable transportation
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently
• Prior experience preferred but not required
Must be able to pass a simple background check.
