Mole Poblano, made from scratch at Kushala. 🌶️

Mole means “sauce” in the ancient Nahuatl language, and Mexico has hundreds of regional varieties, each with its own unique character.

At Kushala, we make our mole poblano from scratch and add our own signature touch. We also age a portion of each batch to intensify its flavors and make it even more unique.

This weekend, enjoy it with our **chicken mole enchiladas** for brunch at Kushala Chelsea.

There’s more to your breakfast than what’s on the plate. ☕🥐

At Kushala, we believe happiness can start with a good meal and a good cup of coffee.

But there’s a story behind what we serve.

The ingredients.
The people behind them.
The choices that make one ingredient different from another.
And the story behind every cup of coffee we pour.

Even our name has a story.

“Kushala” is a Hindi word that means happiness. When Dalia and Vinod chose this name for their coffee house, they wanted to create a place where people could gather, enjoy good food and coffee, share a conversation, and leave with a little more happiness than when they arrived.

That idea is still at the heart of Kushala.

And now, we’re excited to share more of the stories behind what we serve—from the coffee in your cup to the ingredients on your plate and the people behind them.

Because sometimes, knowing more about your food and coffee makes you appreciate it a little more.
