Tremont has served as more than just a local burger and b**r joint. Did you know that we once played host to a very special and extremely memorable wedding?!
Back in 2005, owner, Dustin Choate met Mike McDade at a Tour de Cure bike ride. Mike had finished his ride and was playing music when the two struck up a friendship. Dustin told him that when he opened his bar that he wanted Mike to come play. Tremont Tavern opened the following year, and Mike began hosting βOpen Mic Nightsβ weekly.
Fast forward to 2014. Mike and long-term girlfriend, Gail, had never planned to marry, but plans changed and the couple decided to tie the knot. 2 weeks later the couple made plans to share their vows at a place that felt like home surrounded by friends that had become family.
Telling only a few friends, Mike arrived as normal to host Open Mic Night. He and Gail signed up as #5 on the list to perform, as βCardon Smith and the I Doβs.β When the time came, the couple shared their vows as Cardon officiated. Afterwards, they shared their first dance as husband and wife on the βold side.β
