Well folks, I've sat here for an hour trying to find the perfect words to use for a post, but at this point, 'short, sweet and to the point' works best.
This coming Sunday, October 12th, will be be our last day at our Chattanooga location. After 3 years, we have made the decision to turn our main focus back to our Loudon and Dayton locations, as we have acquired some historic buildings downtown and have big plans to keep growing Dayton.
Because we own our building, we wanted to make sure that whoever bought the property would be able to bring a restaurant / brewery to fill the void of us leaving. While we do not know the concept of the new owners, they are keeping the brewing equipment, will offer a small selection of house-made beers at first, as well as be the full scale restaurant we never wanted to be, but eventually knew was really what Hixson wanted.
We want to thank all of our incredible customers over the years that came through our doors, treated us like the 'neighborhood brew pub' we wanted to be and were the most patient and understanding people we could have hoped for. We were not perfect and made plenty of mistakes, but at the end of the day, it was nice having a presence in the Chattanooga beer scene, and will miss seeing Hixson continue to grow.
That being said, as was the case before we opened Hixson, Dayton is just a short drive up the highway, so keep getting your Dayton fix at any one of our 3 restaurants downtown (Monkey Town, 1st Avenue Pizza Books & Treats and our newest cafe, The Corner Spot), as well as our downtown Loudon MTBC location.
Again, from the bottom of our heart, thank you for the last 3 years and hopefully we will see you up in Dayton or Loudon for years to come.
Cheers!
