Hello dear friends,

Our final day is here — and somehow the weather feels fitting. A little “reigny” outside today. ☔️

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every visit, every kind word, every line out the door, and every box of doughnuts you shared with friends, coworkers, and family. Since opening in December 2017, you welcomed us into your routines, your celebrations, your tough mornings, and your late-night cravings. We’ve grown up alongside this community, and we are so grateful for every single moment.

It has truly been an honor to be part of NoDa and to be part of this city — whether you visited us in the shop or opened a warm box of doughnuts somewhere across Charlotte.

Tonight at 9 p.m., we’ll close our shutters for the final time as Reigning Doughnuts. While it’s bittersweet, we’re also excited to begin the next chapter and make way for our new deli concept, Olivelli Deli. We hope you’ll follow along right here as we share updates and bring you along for what’s next.

Here are our hours for today — we would love to see you one more time if you’re able to stop by: 🍩 NOW - 4 p.m. and 5 - 9 p.m.

Hello friends! 🍩

We have news to share—and news like this is always bittersweet. 🥹 We have determined that Sunday, February 15th will be our last day of service making you all hot, made-to-order doughnuts here at Reigning Doughnuts.

We opened this shop in December 2018—in a tiny 82 square foot space that once served as a storage closet for our neighbor, . It has been such a fun ride, and we’ve loved operating this place—it’s brought so much joy to our guests, our community of NoDa, and to us! We are so grateful to our team—everyone has put in so much time, energy and positivity to make this place such a special place to enjoy. We’re also grateful to all of you for all the visits and orders over the years. Thank you!

Closing a business is never an easy decision, but we’ve been seeing different trends in the restaurant space, and to keep getting better as a restaurant group, we have to stay on our toes, stay nimble, and find new ways!

Doesn’t it go something like… “When one window closes, another window opens?” 😉 It’s something like that, anyway. So please stay tuned as we bring to life a new concept, a miniature deli—that will serve up deli sandwiches and soft serve out of our window. Olivelli Deli will be coming soon! (BTW, during the time our window is closed, we have a small build out to accomplish, plus we’ll be busy working on making homemade Kaiser rolls, sourcing the best deli meats, and taste testing soft serve! 🍦 )

Meantime, here at Reigning Doughnuts, we will look forward to serving you all through February 15th, and we ask for your patience if the lines are longer with this news. Please know, our team will do our very best to serve you! Once our window closes, you can follow along with us as we buildout and transform into a new place. See you soon, friends, and thank you for journeying along with us! 🍩 🔜 🥪
