And just like that… Sweet Boutique Bakery is officially retired. ❤️
Thirteen years ago, I started baking in my home kitchen with absolutely no idea where it would lead.
What started with cookies, breads, gift baskets and lots of experimenting eventually became more than I ever could have imagined. Hundreds and hundreds of cakes, thousands of hours in this kitchen, some pretty crazy creations, wonderful clients who trusted me with their celebrations, and so many opportunities I never expected.
There were plenty of late nights, mistakes, things I had to figure out as I went, and more than a few times I wondered what I had gotten myself into. 😂 But there was also so much joy.
Somewhere along the way, this kitchen became the place where I not only built a business, but where my children, and then my grandchildren, baked beside me. Those are some of the sweetest memories of all.
I have always believed God had His hand on Sweet Boutique Bakery. He opened doors I never could have opened myself, brought wonderful people into my life and allowed me to use something I loved to bring a little joy to other people.
To every person who ordered a cake, recommended me to a friend, followed along, encouraged me, trusted me with an important celebration or simply told me you enjoyed seeing what I created—thank you. You helped turn something I started in my kitchen into 13 years I will never forget.
I’m ready for this next chapter—more time with Chuck, our kids and grandkids, traveling, creating just because I want to, and whatever else God has planned.
Sweet Boutique Bakery has been such a wonderful part of my life.
What a sweet 13 years it has been. ❤️
