The kind of fall dinner in Charlotte you start thinking about around 3pm.

Cider-brined chicken with wild mushroom bread pudding. Crispy potato pavé with Gruyère. A Harvest Salad loaded with roasted squash, pumpkin, pomegranate + goat cheese.

The martini feels inevitable.

Bartender’s Call. Give us a few clues, then hand over the decision. No menu. No overthinking. Just trust the person behind the bar.
Or go unexpected with As You Wish. Lunazul Reposado, strawberry + pink peppercorn shrub + soda. House-made shrub, bright fruit, a little pepper, just enough edge.
One is a complete unknown.
The other proves strawberry has a wild side.

The dog days deserve a menu that tastes like them.
Heirloom tomatoes at their peak. Peaches still warm from the orchard. Squash sliced paper-thin and left mostly alone. A harvest of salads and sides built to sit alongside your steak frites or the market fish — the way late summer in the Carolinas wants it rounded out.
