To my Kupcakes family,

I’ve been away for a while, and I appreciate your patience as I’ve navigated a difficult season. On August 29th, we lost our matriarch, Zetta Mae Caldwell. Next to my mother, she was my world. My love for everything in the kitchen started with her—from sneaking spoonfuls of her cooking to the secret stashes of food she’d hide away just for me (her favorite, no matter what the others say!).

We needed this time to reset and refocus. This Mother’s Day, we want to thank you for your unwavering support. When we lose someone so rare, the best thing we can do is honor them by remembering. Today, I honor my grandmother.

Please hug your loved ones a little tighter today. We’ll see you back here this summer. Happy Mother’s Day. 🤍
