To be voted as the Best of Rhode Island winner AGAIN this year before we are even open for the season is so incredibly amazing to us, we can’t say thank you enough to everyone who took the time to think of us and vote. Want to hear a cute story?

This is the Hawaiian Tuna, and it’s got some long standing history with the family that runs this place. Long before Ray and Sue ever opened Jitter’s or The Corner Deli, they took a trip to Disney. It was one of, if not the first, big trips they took together and it had all the hallmarks of the kind of chaos you get into when you’re young and in love. Have them tell you the story when you see them.

On the trip they found a Mickey Mouse Cookbook that is allegedly still somewhere in their house, and inside was this recipe. Ray says that he said then if they ever had a sandwich shop, this would be on the menu.

So here she is- Tuna salad, bacon, Swiss and pineapple. An unconventional, sentimental classic.

Cam is managing the heck out of Corner Deli this year already, and all with a smile on. He was trained by the best but it’s still wonderful to see him crushing it. Give him a hello this weekend, and if you miss him in NK now you know where to find him.
