Roads remain open to traffic but may be temporarily held by CPD as cyclists approach. Once cyclists have passed, traffic will be permitted to proceed.

USA Cycling Pro Road National Championships | Road Race

Looking ahead to Saturday's Road Race, the biggest change is the addition of Bridge Rd and Loudon Heights Rd to the race route. Both roadways will operate as rolling closures.

⏰ Approximate impact times: 7 AM–5:30 PM (or end of races)

⚠️ Key Traffic Impacts
• Kanawha Blvd closed: Clendenin St to Wertz Ave
• South Side Bridge closed (traffic routed via Ferry St)
• Rolling closures on Wertz Ave, Oakridge Dr, Bridge Rd, and Loudon Heights Rd
• Modified traffic patterns on Greenbrier St and Capitol St

ℹ️ What is a rolling closure?
Roads remain open to traffic but may be temporarily held by CPD as cyclists approach. Once cyclists have passed, traffic will be permitted to proceed.

🅿️ No on-street parking is permitted along the race route. Vehicles must be removed by 7:30 AM. Towing will be enforced.

🛣️ Interstate access remains available, except:
• Exit 99 (State Capitol/Greenbrier St) from I-64W/I-77N
• Greenbrier St on-ramp (near the Capitol Complex) to I-77S/I-64E

📍 Access information is available for Downtown Charleston, Hillcrest Dr, Oakridge Dr, the State Capitol Complex, Piedmont Rd, Four Points by Sheraton, and the Summers St Parking Garage.
