The Eclectic Cafe and Vinyl is closing its doors permanently on this Sunday May 27th, but, for the next week, we are using our vinyl inventory to give back to the customer and raise money for two of our favorite non-profits. Customers will get 40% off the marked price of all vinyl; 50% of all sales will go to the Unspoken Word, a non-profit that organizes fantastic literary events and supports a network of up and coming poets; and 50% of all sales will go to Media Reform, SC, which supports a free press and operates Charleston's OHM Radio. I hope everyone is having a relaxing Mother's Day. My apologies for the timing of this announcement, but it couldn't be postponed. As the operator of the Eclectic Cafe and Vinyl, I regret to inform you that we will be closing our doors for good on Sunday May 27th. As the owner of 132 Spring Street, I am proud to announce that there are already new tenants, and they, after making some updates, will continue to operate their version of a coffee shop/cafe. I assure you they are imminently qualified to do so.
