Although the bond vote did not get approved, we have to understand what makes the Charles City Schools GREAT... It is the Teachers, Students, Parents, School Board, Staff and all the helpers. We have a passion to be the best we can be,,, If the roof leaks, put in a tent. If the walls are cracking and the pipes are freezing, move your desk... Nothing will stop our students and faculty from creating the most positive environment to learn and create. Let's use this moment to dig in and show everybody how strong and great we can be...... It is not where we learn that is important, it is that we learn and grow into successful humans. We will sometime in the future have a school that matches the size of our hearts... Until then we are going to get better and try harder... I love Charles City Schools.

Dean Treats in Charles City, IA has decided not to close down the store this winter but will change it's store hours and the services we offer. Our new store hours are Monday thru Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-2. We will not be having the dipping cabinet set up or making malts, but we will try to keep a large number of pints available until we open again in May 2026. Dean Treats will also be carrying some other pick up items that will be announced later. Sorry for any inconvenience and we thank all our wonderful past customers...

Dean Treats across from Central Park in Charles City, IA is now going to be a seasonal location.. We will be closing for the season once the ice cream inventory is gone... We have received our last ice cream shipment and when it is gone, it is gone until we reopen in May of next year. This is your last chance this year to get our amazing Chocolate Shoppe ice cream. Stop in today.. Open 11am to 8pm, 7 days a week. Dean Treats also wants to thank you all for supporting our local business. The great success we have experienced is only because of your loyalty and return visits. You all have been amazing.... We appreciate it very much...

Cheddar Groundwich Sandwich $ 7.00 each with condiments
Pizzettes- Mini Pizza Pies $ 5.00 for two
Large Lasagna w/Garlic Bread $10.00 each
