To our friends and loyal customers,
It is with bittersweet feelings that Sue and I announce our retirement as of December 31st, 2022.
We’re sure it seems sudden, but this time has been coming for quite a while. Between us both reaching our 70’s (we know we don’t look it!), the birth of our incredible granddaughter Margot Barrows Butler, and our hard-fought battle with the pandemic, the time seemed right to turn the page.
We will miss the camaraderie of the great coworkers we’ve had over an amazing twelve-and-a-half year run at Kitchen. We will miss the countless friends made, the daily preparation, and the pleasure of seeing our small restaurant filled with customers both old and new.
We are happy to be turning the business over to Chef Garret Fleming and his sister Eleanor Lacy, who have been assisting us in the kitchen for the last six months.
Garret, whose run my kitchen for the last week is coming up big to run the closing week at kitchen. We're so sorry to miss out on our farewell week, our holiday travel disaster has disallowed us to say goodbye how we wanted to but we have all the faith our customers are in capable hands and we feel comfortable knowing it is he whom we've decided to sell Kitchen to. We're excited to see what their ideas of delicious are at Bombolo, set to up early 2023.
So let’s just say, “See you around town.”
Dick and Sue
