The moment I saw this mountain of hand-pulled noodles, I knew I was in for a good time. 🤤

Ever tried Uyghur food? 🇺🇿🍜 This was my first time, and it definitely won’t be my last!

I headed to Dolan Uyghur Restaurant in Washington, DC to take on their famous Big Chicken Plate, a mountain of marinated bone-in chicken, vegetables and incredible hand-pulled flat noodles. I played it safe with the mild version… because my spice tolerance isn’t as tough as my appetite. 😂

Uyghur cuisine is such a unique mix of Central Asian and Middle Eastern influences, packed with bold flavours, fresh spices and handmade noodles that absolutely hit the spot. Every mouthful was loaded with flavour, and those saucy noodles were worth wearing a dark shirt for! 🍗🍜

If you’re in DC, Maryland or Virginia, you’ve got to check out Dolan Uyghur. From handmade dumplings to chicken stew and more hand-pulled noodle dishes, there’s plenty to keep you coming back.

The Big Chicken Plate was the perfect balance of carbs, protein and flavour, and I had it all gone in under 15 minutes.
