A delightful new Ethiopian Guji has joined the line-up. This coffee has notes of jasmine tea with a sweet tangerine finish. It's a single origin organic from the Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm, which has been owned and operated by Ismael Hassen Aredo and his family since 2012.

A little more about the farm from Cafe Imports:
Ismael oversees a staff of 25 permanent full-time and 300 seasonal employees, and the farm management offers free transportation services as well as financial support for building schools and administration buildings for the community.
Kayon Mountain farm has a nursery on-site and utilizes shade (acacia and other indigenous trees) to protect the coffee as well as for creating compost to fertilize naturally. Ismael is meticulous about not only the structure and management of the farm itself but also the harvesting and processing

Did you know coffee is a crop and the flavors change depending on weather, location, and other factors? That’s why our selection at Mad Goat changes a few times a year. We select the best beans we can offer you from all around the world. We order samples, roast on our sample roaster, and have cupping sessions to pick which beans we believe bring the best flavor profiles.

🌱 We source our coffee from around the world with the help of three partnering importers, Cafe Imports, Onyx Coffee, Covoya, and Keffa Coffee. They have great ongoing relationships with the farms and farmers.

🌏 We have chosen four different countries that are our go to coffees we always have on hand: Ethiopia, Guatemala, Mexico, and Papua New Guinea. These four countries represent some of the different coffee growing areas around the world and each of these regions have a unique history and approach to how to grow the best coffee. The coffee that comes from them have characteristics that differ from one another, but can also compliment each other in blends.

🎃Pumpkin Spice Latte: Our classic PSL is back, with real pumpkin puree, steamed milk, rich espresso, all topped with a few shakes of warm spices.
🍏Apple C***r: Fresh, crisp apple c***r that can be enjoyed just as much iced as it could piping hot! Also available as a slush!
🍎Caramel Apple Butter Latte: Apple in a caramel latte? Oh, you’re in for a treat. Trust us, this twist on our caramel latte will have you ready to go apple picking in your favorite flannel.
🍫S’mores Latte: A campfire classic in a cup. Chocolate-y, marshmallow-y, and simply delightful. Garnished with a few shakes of mini marshmallows on top.

We've gotten lots of messages from people seeing firetrucks, so we wanted to update. Our coffee roaster (machine) in Danville caught fire today. Thankfully no one is hurt, minimal damage to our roastery building, but significant damage to equipment. We are still waiting for the machine to cool off before we can assess more. Our coffee shops are unaffected and open as usual. Thank you for your concerns! We will update more with any changes.
