Thank you for another just wow weekend. We're busier the last 6 weeks or so than we have been all summer. And here I thought that was just the new normal, the growth and enthusiasm had to plateau at some point, right? but no. Here you all are and then some.

The cafe feels so wonderful lately; so much joy and buzz and life in the air here. Thanks for making this slice of life and our service to you bright. We sincerely enjoy and look forward to having you in 🩷

I'm not in the cake making business these days but ain't she cute? Perfectly fall vanilla cake with thick oozy salted caramel sauce and New Mexico pecans dashed throughout the layers, caramel icing, and flowers from our garden.

We'll see Friday!

Full case and full back counter at 7am. The calm before the storm.

Grateful to be able to be here baking this eighth year, in my own little world, for a village I love and the people who pass through. Watching the sky- sunrises and sunsets cotton candy and cantaloupe, periwinkle and lavender- lightning storms and shifting clouds over the hill and field through the archway over my bakers bench full of pastries in process...

I know we're known for flaky pastry, croissants, and perhaps less practical treats. This one though, is a favorite of mine despite being a humble little muffin. Organic buckwheat flour is naturally gluten free and requires no binders to hold up with good texture and structure, lots of organic banana, plenty of blueberries, a dash of cinnamon, and it's only lightly sweetened with brown sugar. It's a really nice pick me up, holds well for more than a day (unlike the very many laminated items I offer) and holds back hunger for quite a while longer, too! And hey, worst case scenario, you guys only want croissants and the like and I'll have a stash for our breakfast and snacks ☺️ $3.75 a pop.
