I wanted to apologize when I uploaded my incorporation of tired of Internet arguments, not another wherewolf, CEO, etc. parody book I was writing; I didn’t realize I was logged into the business account. So I wrote it as a way for people to bridge societal gaps as a choose your own adventure.

Okay… we have some explaining to do. 😂

If you’ve been wondering why we’ve been suspiciously quiet this summer…

We’ve been practicing.

Not learning how to smoke brisket. We learned THAT lesson years ago at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where apparently the appropriate classroom temperature is somewhere between “sweat lodge” and “surface of the sun.” 😂🔥

This summer was about turning those old lessons and flavors we remember from home into something we could bring to all of you.

Smoking briskets.

Pulling pork.

Cooking ribs.

Testing recipes.

Building menus.

Changing things.

Changing them back.

Feeding unsuspecting friends and family.

And occasionally taking one bite, looking at each other and declaring:

“Yep. THAT stays.”

We’ve kept most of it off Facebook because sometimes it’s nice to build something quietly before showing everybody what you’ve been working on.

Well…

Labor Day Weekend means the whole town of Packwood basically looks around and says:

“You know what? Let’s just turn EVERYTHING into a flea market.” 😂

And once again, you can find us hanging out with our friends at Cruisers Pizza!

We may be roughly 2,000 miles from home, surrounded by mountains and evergreens, but apparently if you put enough meat, cheese and questionable quantities of food in one parking lot, the Midwest will eventually re-form on its own. ❤️

I have never heard of this brand but it was sold in WA and Oregon. We just saw it in our news feed.

From mom - Four years ago, COVID-19 disrupted the health and careers of many, including mine. This year I learned how to remember again by using the technology I spent a lifetime repairing. Fixing a broken computer. In this case I was the broken computer.

I have been creating a program to help people like myself recover from memory loss. There is no manual for that. I had to learn how to remember again. It is the first IT project that I have attempted in five years. I sure feel rusty.
I felt like I would never be able to do math again but I realized one day that every recipe I have created was math. I learned how to math again doing what I love - cooking my grandmother’s recipes.
