👑💼 HAPPY NATIONAL BOSS DAY TO ME & ALL THE BOSSES OUT THERE! 💯✨
I may post more of my wins than my losses. I may show more of my ups than my downs, but one thing I want everybody to know is I’M STILL HERE! 🙌🏾💪🏾
Still persevering. Still pushing through obstacles. Still defeating the odds. Still learning, growing, evolving, and finding ways to make it happen, even when the odds are stacked against me. 💯❤️🔥
Being a boss, an entrepreneur, a restaurant owner, and a caterer is NOT for the weak! It comes with wins, losses, sacrifices, sleepless nights, financial responsibilities, overhead, bills, disappointments, pressure, and lessons you could never learn from a textbook. Every single day is a new learning experience, and sometimes the biggest lessons come from the hardest seasons. 💯
I've been cooking and catering since 2015–2016, and this journey has taught me so much about business, people, patience, perseverance, and myself. I'm still learning, still building, and still working toward everything I envision for my business. The journey isn't always pretty, but I'm proud of myself for continuing to show up! 👏🏾❤️
And let's be real for a minute… people see the food, the posts, the accomplishments, and the highlights, but they don't always see what it takes behind the scenes.
They don't see the sacrifices. They don't see the pressure. They don't see the long days, the financial obligations, the responsibilities, or what it takes to keep everything together when life is happening outside of business, too.
I'm not just a boss. I'm a WIFE, a MOTHER, a PROVIDER, a BAND MOM, a SPORTS MOM, a RESTAURANT OWNER, a CATERER, a COUNSELOR, a PROBLEM SOLVER, an INVENTORY MANAGER, a JANITOR, a FRIEND, an AUNT, and a FAMILY MEMBER who still has to show up for the people I love while trying to build something of my own. 🥹❤️
Entrepreneurship doesn't just require money. It requires TIME, SACRIFICE, DISCIPLINE, PATIENCE, and sometimes pieces of you that people will never see. It can put pressure on your marriage, your family, your personal life, and even your peace of mind. That's a side of being a business owner that doesn't always make it to social media.
And as far as competition goes… whether people want to put me in their group chats, compare themselves to me, mimic what I do, copy my ideas, laugh, or have something to say about my journey, that's okay. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. 🤷🏾♀️
But just understand this: BEING A BOSS ISN'T AS EASY AS IT LOOKS! And if you're building something of your own, you already know! 💯
I'm not here to prove that I'm better than anybody. I'm here to prove to MYSELF that I can keep going, keep growing, and keep becoming the woman and business owner I know I'm capable of being. My journey is my journey, and I'm going to continue to walk in my purpose, learn from my mistakes, celebrate my victories, and trust the process. 🙏🏾👑
So today, on National Boss Day, I want to give MYSELF some grace. Because even on the days when I'm tired, discouraged, overwhelmed, or questioning how I'm going to make it all happen, I STILL GET UP AND TRY AGAIN! And that alone deserves recognition. ❤️🔥
To every entrepreneur, restaurant owner, caterer, small business owner, and boss out there who is fighting battles behind closed doors while still showing up for the world…
YOU ROCK! 👏🏾👑💯
Keep pushing. Keep building. Keep believing in yourself. Don't let the hard days convince you to give up on the dream you worked so hard to build. Your journey may not look like anybody else's, and that's perfectly okay.
HAPPY NATIONAL BOSS DAY! 🥂👑
From one boss to another, keep going. Your hard work matters. Your sacrifices matter. Your dreams matter. And even when nobody else sees the progress, don't forget to celebrate how far you've come!
