šŸŽ“šŸ¦ Senior Sendoff: Jessica ! šŸ¦šŸŽ“

Today we celebrate Jessie as she heads off to her next adventure!

Jessie joined the Scoop and Score family in June 2025, and from day one she has been an incredible team member. It almost felt like she was a legacy hireā€”her boyfriendā€™s cousins, Jake and Gabby, both worked here before her and told her, ā€œYou better keep up the legacy we built!ā€ Safe to say, she did exactly that.

Whether it was starring in our social media videos, troubleshooting problems around the shop, making ice cream catering deliveries (and occasionally getting a little lost šŸ˜‚), or simply jumping in wherever she was needed, Jessie always gave 100%. She balanced work with school and soccer, yet never stopped showing up with a positive attitude.

One story perfectly sums up who Jessie is. A few weeks ago, our AC went out during one of the hottest weekends of the summer. Even with fans running, the shop was in the upper 80s, and I made the tough decision to close early on a Saturday. Afterward, Jessie texted me and said, ā€œI know this hurts yā€™allā€™s business a lot. I can tough it out and work without the AC.ā€

She didnā€™t have to say that. We had already closed. But that message showed how much she genuinely cared about Scoop and Score and wanted to help our business succeed. Thatā€™s the kind of person Jessie is.

Jessie is headed to McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas, where sheā€™ll be playing soccer and continuing to be the rockstar weā€™ve all come to know.

Today is her last day, and sheā€™ll be here until 5 PM! Stop by, grab some ice cream, and wish her luck before she heads off to college.

Jessie, thank you for everything youā€™ve done. Youā€™ll always have a home at Scoop and Score, and we canā€™t wait to see what you accomplish next.

Today is our first senior sendoff of the year, and we are celebrating sahasra !

Sahasra joined Scoop and Score at the end of February, just six months ago. Iā€™ll be honest: with her upcoming summer trip and her college journey right around the corner, I knew during her interview that short stints are not always ideal. But Sahasra interviewed so well that we threw caution to the wind and made the hiring choice anyway ā€” and we are so glad we did.

Sahasra is a busy young woman, but when we had call-offs, she showed up. And if you know a small business owner, especially at Scoop and Score, you know that is our love language.

I remember coming into the shop early one day when Sahasra was working. The two team members there that day were deep in conversation about all the details of their high school adventures ā€” homework, home life, and everything in between. Sahasra looked at me and said, ā€œIā€™m sorry you are having to hear this.ā€ I just smiled, because at Scoop and Score, we love these kids.

Honors Academy , you are getting a very smart young woman, and I know she is going to do big things there.

Farewell, Sahasra! Please come visit us soon. We will miss you!
