**Headline: A Note to Our Community: Keeping the Smoke Rolling and the Coffee Flowing**
When we opened our doors four years ago, we did it out of a pure love for great coffee and authentic, slow-smoked barbecue. Our goal was simple: serve up the best quality possible to our neighbors, right here at home.
For four years, weโve kept our prices exactly the same. But behind the scenes, the reality of the food and beverage industry has shifted dramatically.
You might have seen the news lately that the "barbecue bubble" is facing a devastating reality. Even legendary, historic Texas barbecue joints that have been staples for generations are being forced to close their doors permanently. The combination of skyrocketing operating costs and historic wholesale food inflation has made the business model unsustainable for many.
To give you an idea of what small businesses like ours are up against compared to four years ago:
* **The Beef Market:** Severe droughts and a historic low in US cattle supplies have pushed commercial beef and brisket costs to record highs. Wholesale beef is up double-digits just this past year alone.
* **Green Coffee Beans:** Due to global weather disruptions and supply chain shifts, the cost of raw, unroasted green coffee beans has jumped by over 50% since 2022.
Up until now, we have actively chosen to absorb these heavy increases ourselves. We paid the difference out of our own pockets because we didnโt want to pass that burden onto you.
However, to ensure we can keep roasting premium beans, smoking high-quality meats, and staying open for years to come, we have to make a change. Starting Next Week, you will see a modest price adjustment across our menu.
This wasnโt an easy decision, but itโs the only way we can maintain the strict quality standards you expect from us without cutting corners. We are incredibly grateful for your understanding, your loyalty, and for supporting our family business.
