Our new summer menu is officially here!☀️☕️ Featuring a mix of our brand-new bookish concoctions and a few summer favorites.

Two of our newest drinks, “The Man with the Yellow Hat” latte and “The Banned Book Banana Chai”, are made with our new handmade banana syrup, and they are SO delicious. We can’t wait for you to try them!🍌

And don’t worry, you can still order past seasonal drinks as long as we have the right ingredients on hand:)

Barista Spotlight: Dana☕️

Dana was actually hired on the spot, even though she wasn’t looking for a job. A chance encounter at the register quickly led to her starting the very next day!

Dana’s energy and positivity shine through every day. She absolutely loves being a barista and often tells people, “I get to work here!”

She does it all: wife, mother, grandmother, small business owner, and now barista. Recently, she celebrated with the sweetest coffee cup tattoo to always remember her “barista era.”

Today we were a little short staffed, but Kayla, Lindsey, and Tyson held down the fort with no problem so Kate, Dana, Cade, and Lily could spend the day at the Sleepy Hollow Renaissance Fair in Des Moines. It’s fun watching friendships flourish at Reader’s Cup!📚✨

Our special indie menu was a hit, with The Scarlet Letter Red Velvet Latte as the favorite of the day. Huge shoutout to our baristas for pumping out drinks all day long💪🏽
