The year is 1996 and you’re driving down the road listening to the radio (because streaming music isn’t a thing yet). You’re cruising to Pearl Jam, Gin Blossoms, Green Day, Oasis, Live, Collective Soul, Alice in Chains, 3 Doors Down, Candlebox, Nirvana, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Offspring, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, STP, Sublime, Incubus, Tonic, Foo Fighters, and all the other great alternative and grunge artists. Suddenly, a new song comes on and you turn it up. And then you turn it up again and wonder, who is this? It’s so catchy you crank the volume as high as it will go, certain that you had just discovered your new favorite band.
You drive to the record store, find the CD, listen to a few tracks off the album. Then you know it. This band is phenomenal, so you purchase the CD. After a couple listens, you can’t decide which song is your favorite because they’re all awesome. You drift off to sleep with the album on repeat. Yes, you have definitely found your new favorite band.
When you wake up, you find that it was just a dream. You’re actually in 2026 (September 19, to be exact), aging but still listening to the same great music because they just don’t make it like they used to. The golden era has long passed. But you can’t shake what you heard in that dream. That band, those songs. What was their name? You can’t remember, but the nostalgic feeling lingers.
Then something amazing happens. You stop into LogJammerz for a drink and realize that you have just walked into a 90’s alternative rock tribute party. Then you stop in your tracks. It’s that song, that song you heard in your dream. But they’re not aging like you are. They are young, fresh faces, in their early twenties. And they’re killing it. You feel as if you’ve once again been transported back to 1996. You just have to know who these kids are. They sound like they traveled through time, carrying a style that is unmistakably 90s, yet with a little modern twist. But they’re not a cover band. They are performing originals. Originals that capture the feel and sound of one of the greatest decades in music. So you ask the bartender, who ARE these guys????
Well, we’re not going to answer that question just yet! So keep an eye on our page, as the announcement will be made soon! Mark September 19 on your calendars and let’s relive the 90s, alternative style!
