He started Pella Windows Rex Robertson Co., working out of an old railroad car at the same location that we operate on now over 60 years later. When his son, Jim, took over in 1974, we began selling hollow metal building supplies! With the addition of Denis Hoerle and Paul Parke,

we became the "go-to-guys" for commercial doors and hardware. To this day we still strive to maintain the integrity that has made us great for over 60 years. We had a great question from one of our friends the other day. You might find the question and answer informative:

Q:What is the best storm door for our wind here in Casper?

A:Well we sell Pella storm doors and they are very high quality due to having two closers. However, the direction in which it opens is actually more important than the door itself. You will want to install it the opposite direction that the wind normally blows. That way the wind will blow it closed instead of opened. In Casper the wind tends to be the South West. So if the door was facing the north side of the building you would want the opening to be on the east side of the door, and also if it were on the south side of the building you would want it to open on the east side of the door as well.
